What do shrooms taste like

They lack the umami of the portobello, the pepper of the maitake. So, what do shrooms taste like, really? And the descriptions keep coming: unseasoned pumpkin seeds, mushroom-coated raw almonds, uncooked button mushrooms from the grocery store. Like dirt. There is little debate that magic mushrooms have a unique flavor—but how exactly do you describe it?

What do shrooms taste like?

Is it genetic? I guess it's the same thing as the shit that is good for you tastes like shit.

I do however think they taste very bad. Freshies taste exactly what I would think a distasteful fungal fruit would taste like, very moist, juicy and "dank" in the bad way.

Dried they taste more like unsalted peanut hulls mixed with old dirt. Tea though tastes however I want it to. Posted 19 November - PM the best thing you can do is try to cover the taste.

I just like thai food a lot, you can make virtually anything with dried powdered mushrooms as psilocybin stands up to heat well-enough for most dishes if you add them at the proper times. Posted 19 November - PM I really don't mind the taste myself.

I just sit with the dried shrooms in a small glass and munch away. Washing them down with a beer is also a pleasure.

Posted 21 November - PM Try a shroom smoothie with the freshies darkside. A citrus shroom smoothie with freshies will have no taste of mush and will hit you like of ton of bricks.
